ENHANCEMENTS
-
Uses scraping with tools to release tension, inflammation and unhealthy bodily matter. May produce coloring in skin. Gua Sha stimulates blood flow to the area, resulting in metabolic cell repair, regeneration and recovery.
-
Uses suction to release fascial adhesions. Eases tension by pulling fascia towards the skin, rather than compression. Levels of suction are light, medium, and heavy; adjustable to your comfort. May produce coloring in skin.
-
Used for warming the tissue; this encourages blood circulation and reduces tension. Not recommended for clients who have neuropathy, diabetes, heart disease, use a blood thinning medication, or are pregnant.
-
Application of a cold compress to an area to reduce inflammation and restore homeostasis in blood circulation.
-
Used for those with tingling, numbness, pain or other issues from nerve impingement. Client active motion is used during compression to slide a nerve bundle and make space in its region of the body.
-
Specialized oral massage for jaw disorders and pain.
-
A favorite during relaxation massage.

DEEP TISSUE
We recommend deep tissue for the release of body restrictions that limit mobility and cause postural distortion, poor cellular nutrition, pain, and other dysfunctions.
______________________________
We adjust pressure to your needs, and encourage open communication during our session to ensure maximum comfort.
______________________________
Deep tissue massage aims to release restrictions in connective tissue and muscle related to overall body alignment. Our deep tissue massage uses myofascial & trigger point techniques.
______________________________
Fascia is the fibrous connective tissue that holds the body together. It is similar to an intricate web overlay to every structure (tendons, muscle, ligaments, bone) in the body.
______________________________
Deep tissue, or myofascial techniques, stretch connective tissue bands, break fascial adhesions (knots), and leave tissues softer and more pliable.
SPORTS MASSAGE
Our sports massage therapist will focus on isolating particular areas of muscles that are most affected by your activity.
______________________________
Works to balance the body’s muscular symmetry and posture.
______________________________
Typically performed with client clothed; please attend appointment in active-wear.
______________________________
Utilizes stretching, range-of-motion, PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) techniques along with passive and active client movement.
______________________________
PNF uses active client resistance to therapist’s pressure or stretch, resulting in further range of motion
SWEDISH RELAXATION
Swedish massage may help with fatigue, anxiety, feelings of depression, and stress.
______________________________
Swedish massage uses a relaxing flow of techniques to gently release tension, improve circulation and relax your muscles.
______________________________
This is a full-body treatment, unless client specifies otherwise.
______________________________
Typical session runs one to two hours, depending on client preference.
